Haifa, Israel, February 28, 2018 – Aviation Week & Space Technology has announced that Elbit Systems and Dassault Aviation have been selected as a winner of the 61stAnnual Laureate Awards, honoring extraordinary achievements in the global aerospace arena. The winners of the 2018 Laureate Awards will be honored on March 1, 2018 at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC.
Elbit Systems and Dassault Aviation were selected as a winner in the category of Business Aviation Electronics/Avionic, “for their achievements in creating, certifying and installing FalconEye, the world’s first head-up display system that combines high-resolution synthetic vision with enhanced infrared vision and low-light video imaging, providing pilots clear visual guidance into remote airports, even during degraded visibility conditions” states AVIATION WEEK.
“We are honored to be recognized for the technological achievement of developing the world’s most sophisticated, enhanced vision system for commercial pilots” said Yoram Shmuely, General Manager of Elbit Systems Aerospace Division. “The Aviation Week Network’s Laureates Awards have a long history of recognizing the very best in the industry and we are thrilled to win this distinction.”
