Так это воздух-воздух.
Два вопроса по поводу применения с земли:
1) Какой тип наведения - если не активный то что будет подсвечивать цель
2) Для наземного варианта ракете нужен дополнительный стартовый ускоритель, т.к. ракеты воздух-воздух не расчитаны для старта с начальной скоростью 0

"Дерби", как и АМРААМ - изначально ракета воздух-воздух.

Наведение - активное радиолокационное. РЛС всё равно может быть для раннего предупреждения - на другой машине.

Стартовый ускоритель - не обязателен. Если режим работы двигателя исходной ракеты не подходит, возможна замена двигателя при сохранении внешнего вида ракеты.

Вот наземный вариант АМРААМ (на базе модернизированной ПУ ЗРК "Хок"). Как видно на снимке - ни какого ускорителя нет.

ГСН - явно радиолокационная . Исходный вариант был с активной РЛС ГСН , но этот может быть и с полуактивной . РЛС подсветки можно таскать хоть на буксире за тем же Хаммером .

Скорость ракеты Дерби - около 3.5 Мах . Отнимем 0.7 - 0.8 Мах скорости запускающего самолёта , получим что - то вроде 2.7 - 2.8 Мах . Для раеты земля - воздух ближнего радиуса действия - более , чем достаточно

РЛС лучше на том же Хамви, в секции - три-четыре ПУ и одна РЛС.
Двигатель скорее всего двухрежимный.

Мотор , наверно , действительно двухрежимный : boost - sustainer .

Насчёт размещения радара на том же шасси - не тесновато ли будет ?
На том же шасси - имеется в виду шасси "Хамера", но не вместе с ПУ, а отдельно.

ГСН - скорее всего всё же активная, как и у оригинала.

Israel's Rafael Armament Development Authority, teaming with Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI), has unveiled a surface-to-air missile (SAM) system that incorporates ground-launched versions of the former's Derby medium-range active radar-guided air-to-air missile (AAM) and Python 5, its latest dual-waveband short- and beyond-visual-range-capable imaging infra-red (IIR) AAM.

Dubbed SPYDER (Surface-to-air PYthon and DERby), the new platform is a "quick-reaction, low-level surface-to-air missile system designed to counter attacks of aircraft, helicopters, unmanned air vehicles and precision-guided munitions [PGM]", according to Rafael.

The system comprises a 6 x 6 truck-mounted command-and- control unit (CCU) with (IAI subsidiary) Elta EL/M 2106 ATAR 3-D surveillance radar and truck-mounted missile firing units (MFUs). The latter are equipped with any combination of four IIR and radar-guided missiles on a rotatable launcher assembly.

Rafael claims that the surveillance radar has advanced electronic counter-countermeasures capabilities and can simultaneously track 60 targets, with a 360º engagement day/night all-weather capability.

The system features lock-on-before-launch and lock-on-after- launch modes of operation with fire-and-forget and target-update capabilities. Wireless datalink communication enables deployment of the MFUs at a distance from the CCU.

"The intercept envelope of the SPYDER system spans from less than 1km to more than 15km against targets flying at altitudes of between 20m and 9,000m," Eitan Yudelevich, Rafael vice president for marketing and business development, told JDW.

A standard SPYDER missile battery has up to six MFUs per command-and-control (C2) centre. The C2 centre is capable of operating with neighbouring SPYDER units and sharing information with higher echelons. The missiles have full commonality with AAMs.

Rafael and IAI will present the SPYDER system at the upcoming DEFEXPO exhibition from 4-7 February in New Delhi.

Python 5, unveiled at the June 2003 Paris Air Show, was then available only to existing Python customers. "SPYDER will be available to any client," Yudelevich said.

This is not the first time that Rafael has marketed a hybrid SAM system. Rafael already offers the Derby for export in a SAM role. This is in concept similar to a US programme, mating the Raytheon Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile with the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle chassis. (JDW 5 February 2003). The Barak land- and ship-based point-defence system was originally developed for naval applications but was subsequently developed for land-based roles. Venezuela was the first export customer for this system.

Непонятно только, почему сделали лишь 4 направляющих, а не 8.
В бою перезаряжать придётся вдвое чаще, больше потери времени...
Тем более Питон - совсем не тяжёлая ракета.

Israel's Rafael will conduct the first surface-to-air launches of its Python 5 and Derby air-to-air missiles in June with a new mobile point- and area-defence system.

Dubbed the Surface-to-Air Python and Derby Air Defence system, or Spyder, the design will carry two of each weapon in four missile canisters. Shown in an artist's impression integrated with a 6 x 6 truck (right ), the Spyder launcher is supported by a second vehicle carrying a mast- mounted search radar supplied by Elta Electronics. Both vehicles and their auxiliary equipment are designed for carriage by an Ilyushin Il-76 transport aircraft.

The Python 5 will be used for point-defence duties out to a range of around 20km (10nm), with the Derby used to engage longer-range threats to a distance of 40km, says Rafael. The effective range of the Derby has been enhanced through the integration of an extra booster motor drawn from Rafael's Barak surface-to-surface anti-ship missile.

The active-guided Derby will also be capable of receiving targeting data from other search radars before or after launch through the use of a datalink, says Dr Eitan Yudilevich, Rafael's vice-president of marketing.

Offering a near 360º capability, Spyder will provide maximum flexibility against low flying fixed-wing and rotary-winged targets, says Rafael.

The development system has been promoted to meet the Indian army's future air defence requirements (Flight International , 7-13 October 2003). However, New Delhi also plans to conduct further test firings of its indigenous 9km-range Trishul and 25km-capable Akash air defence missiles early this year.

Development

Israel Military Industries have developed the Red Sky Very Short-Range Air Defence System (VSHORAD) that is based on a modular design, which enables the system to interface with different types of man portable surface-to-air missiles (SAM) with minimal adaptation changes. Development of the system was in response to customer demands and the need for VSHORAD including command and control on the battlefield. At present, the system has been developed around the Russian Igla missile with two rounds mounted on the launching tripod. It is possible however to mount other man-portable SAMs without any major changes to the system.

Description

The Red Sky provides automatic simultaneous multiple target detection and tracking for the protection against low-flying aircraft. The system comprises:

infra-red scanner (IRS); mounted on a two-axis gimballed tripod and has a Wide Field of View (WFOV) forward-looking infra-red (FLIR) camera, enabling continuous passive scan and day and night electro-optical coverage of a wide Field of View (FOV). The FLIR camera also produces real-time video images that are processed by the C3 unit's advanced target detection algorithm. The horizontal field of regard is +/- 160º whilst in the vertical the field of regard is +/- 30º. The IRS sectors in the horizontal are 30º - 180º and in the vertical 10º and 20º. The IRS FOV is 10º. The scanning rate of the IRS is 40º per second.
Track-and-Launch (TL) unit; supports two missiles, laser range finder and high resolution, dual wide FOV of 5º and narrow FOV 1º FLIR camera. The TL also tracks the target and provides target co-ordinates. Upon target recognition and user decision a missile is launched from the TL. The field of regard in the horizontal is +/- 160º whilst in the vertical -10º to +70º is standard.
Command, Control and Communication (C3) is a PC-based system for processing, detection and fire-control, processing incoming video signals, and automatically detecting and engaging aerial targets. An optional video recorder enables the C3 unit to be used for post engagement analysis and/or training purposes.

Red Sky provides the following features and capabilities:

-Autonomous Search, Detect, Identify and Fire capability
-Compatible with most fire-and-forget SAMs
-Passive Day/Night Search While Track
-Multiple targets automatic detection
-Automatic calculation of firing envelope
-Short reaction time
-Minimum signature
-Light weight
-User friendly man machine interface

-Highly cost effectiveness solution

Red Sky has been created for single-soldier operation, while only two additional persons are required to carry and set up the equipment. The system's modularity enables helicopter/naval/light ground vehicle as well as manual transportation. The overall weight of the system (3 units) is 98 kg. The power supply required to operate at full efficiency is 110/220v AC or 28v DC.

Missile

Igla but is compatible with any fire-and-forget type missiles.

Status

Development is complete, it is believed that the system has found an export customer but this information has not yet been released.

אחת ההפתעות של רפאל ב"יורוסטורי" היתה ה"ספיידר" - הסבה של מערכת טילי אוויר-אוויר (א"א) לטילי קרקע-אוויר. זוהי מערכת אווירית טקטית להגנת כוחות היבשה בכל שטח נתון, הנישאת על גבי ג'יפ האמר או משאית. מערכת הירי מתבססת על שני סוגים של טילי אוויר-אוויר, גם הם פיתוח של רפאל - "פיתון 5" לטווח קצר ו"דרבי" לטווח בינוני. בפיתוח המערכת שותפה גם אלתא, חברה בת של התעשייה האווירית, שפיתחה את מערכת המכ"ם של הספיידר. על גבי משגר אחד ניצבים ארבעה טילים והשילוב בין שני סוגי הטילים מכסה שטח עד לטווח של 20 קילומטרים. סוללה אחת כוללת 8 כלי רכב - שישה נושאים משגרי טילים, משאית אחת משמשת כרכב פיקוד ומשאית נוספת מובילה עוד טילים. לצה"ל אמנם אין תקציב לרכישת ה"ספיידר", אבל רפאל מתמודדת מול הקונצרן האירופי MBDA על אספקת המערכת לחיל האוויר ההודי במכרז שהיקפו חצי מיליארד דולר.

Ну и в чём сходство? Что ракета запускается из контейнера квадратного сечения? Так и у "Пэтриот" это так.

А так - скорее сходство с "Чапарэль" - использование авиационной ракеты в-в малой дальности в наземном ЗРК. Да и то не совсем - "Дерби" - по-сути ракета средней дальности.

Правда, у "Чапарэль" и "Стрела-10" ГСН ИК, у нашего - тепловизионная ("Питон-5") и АРЛ ("Дерби").
