На протяжении последних суток в социальных сетях распространяют слухи о том, что колонна бронетехники, следовавшая из Иордании, пересекла сирийскую границу в районе КПП Танф.

В колонне, кроме сирийских мятежников, якобы находятся американские и британские спецназовцы.

За этим последовали сообщения о том, что сирийская армия и про-иранские милиции направляются к Танф для установления контроля над границей. Ранее им удалось захватить ключевой город Сабаа Байар. сирийские самолеты подвергли бомбардировке посты мятежников на границе с Иорданией и Ираком.

На базе в Танф американские инструкторы обучают сирийских мятежников, и она рассматривается в качестве плацдарма для последующего броска к Дейр эз-Зур.



Продвижение сирийских войск и “Хизбаллы” к границе встревожило иорданцев. Министр иностранных дел королевства Айман сафади заявил, что Иордания не потерпит их приближения к границе.

Шоссе Дамаск-Багдад, проходящее через пустыню было основным путем поставок иранского вооружения Асаду – до того, как его стало контролировать Исламское Государство.

Amaq, информационное агентство ISIS сообщает о том, что самолеты коалиции подвергли бомбардировке Абу Камаль – КПП на границе с Ираком. В результате убиты 25 человек, 40 ранены.

В джихадистских каналах Telegram сообщается о том. что американский спецназ в результате операции в районе Дейр эз-Зур взял живьем в плен 12 боевиков ISIS, в том числе. важных командиров. Двое идентифицированы по именам – Абу Умар аль-Британи и Абу Хафс аш-Шишани.

Подразделения американского и британского спецназа пересекли иракско-сирийскую границу и вошли на территорию сирийской провинции Хомс вместе с вооруженными формированиями группировки "Джейш Мугейр ат-Тура", входящей в "Свободную сирийскую армию" (ССА). Ряд арабских источников, в частности агентство SMART сообщило, что в провинцию Хомс переброшено до 150 американских и британских спецназовцев.

Сразу после пересечения границы западный спецназ и их союзники из ССА вступили в бой с террористами группировки "Исламское государство" (ИГ, запрещена в России). С воздуха их наступление прикрывает авиация американской коалиции. К настоящему моменту они находятся уже примерно в 130-140 км. от погранперехода Абу-Камаль (Букамал) и в 90 км. восточнее Пальмиры.


Объединенные силы западного спецназа и боевиков ССА ведут наступление в северо-западном направлении и, вероятно, в ближайшее время попытаются отрезать путь сирийским правительственным войска на Дейр-эз-Зор.

SOUTHWEST ASIA – The coalition struck pro-regime forces that were advancing well inside an established de-confliction zone northwest of At Tanf, Syria, May 18, and that posed a threat to U.S. and partner forces at At Tanf. This action was taken after apparent Russian attempts to dissuade Syrian pro-regime movement south towards At Tanf were unsuccessful, a coalition aircraft show of force, and the firing of warning shots. Coalition forces have been operating in the At Tanf area for many months training and advising vetted partner forces engaged in the fight against ISIS. The agreed upon de-confliction zone agreement remains in effect.

Итальянская компания Trevi di Cesena выиграла тендер на модернизацию и поддержание в рабочем состоянии дамбы Мосула. Стоимость контракта – два миллиарда долларов. На дамбе работают около 300 итальянских специалистов. Срок окончания контракта – 15 ноября.

Около 750 итальянских спецназовцев готовят иракских солдат к войне против Исламского Государства. Всего в Ираке-Кувейте находится 1300 итальянских военнослужащих.
