Leonardo’s AWHero achieves world’s first military certification for a Rotary UAS in its category

Leonardo’s leading-edge AWHero RUAS (Rotary Uncrewed Aerial System) has received basic military certification from Italy’s DAAA (Direzione degli Armamenti Aeronautici e per l’Aeronavigabilità), the Directorate for Air Armaments and Airworthiness. This achievement marks the world’s first military certification for a RUAS in the 200kg class.

ВМС США оснастили беспилотники RQ-21 "Блэкджек" квадрокоптерами. Как сообщает N+1 со ссылкой на The Drive, дроны могут увеличить зону разведки и наблюдения RQ-21 или играть роль барражирующих боеприпасов с компактной боеголовкой.
Американские военные и оборонные компании в последнее время адаптируют крупные беспилотники в качестве носителей мелких дронов. Например, беспилотный ведомый XQ-58A "Валькирия" этим летом сбросил из оружейного отсека разведывательный аппарат "Альтиус-600". AeroVironment осенью представила конфигурацию тактического беспилотника "Джамп 20" с двумя барражирующими боеприпасами "Свитчблейд 300". Эта технология должна позволить военным вести масштабную разведку и наносить удары без захода в контролируемую противником зону.

ВМС и Корпус морской пехоты США приняли на вооружение RQ-21 "Блэкджек" в 2016 году. Это небольшой разведывательный беспилотник 2,5 метра в длину с размахом крыла 4,9 метра. При максимальной взлетной массе 61 кг аппарат может развивать скорость до 138 км/ч и находиться в воздухе до 16 часов.

Чтобы взлететь, "Блэкджеку" требуется пневматическая катапульта. Садится беспилотник при помощи воздушного аэрофинишера – троса, за который он цепляется специальным гаком. Одна из главных особенностей аппарата – его модульный отсек для полезной нагрузки в центре фюзеляжа. Туда устанавливаются датчики, радары и системы распознавания сигналов.

В декабре ВМС США опубликовали фотографию модуля полезной нагрузки Blackjack с квадрокоптером. Судя по всему, он достаточно маленький, чтобы его можно было установить на разведывательный беспилотник вместе с другими модулями.
