Do you think from now on Azerbaijan would not be able to pay for something like above? Azerbaijan is not the only oil producing country, btw.

Also as long Manat remains stable, the defence spending should not be affected in Dollar terms. So far, Manat has remained stable.

Btw, Azerbaijan and Leonardo signed an agreement for M-346 in February. Azerbaijani delegation also visited Russian aircraft manufacturing plants earlier this month and held talks on Mig-35, Su-30 & Su-35.

As for Cardom, they were bought many years ago. In recent years Azerbaijan also started buying Spear MK2, which is a further upgrade of Cardom. And as we can see above, their deliveries continue even now.

That low oil prices would have an overall effect? Definitely. Would it stop up everything? I doubt it.

Your comment is ridiculous in the sense that you are talking about a mortar. Azerbaijan has bought far more serious things from Israel.

+ the whole world is in a crisis. Not only oil producing countries either.

The reason why I reacted like this is, do you go to every thread related to other countries and post such comments? Probably not.

Haha it may seem like I overreacted, but I have seen so many such comments (and others) over the years. I wonder why I bother to post about the developments etc.

you are definitely overreacting. As one who was born in Baku I cant be too negative as long as Azeris behave :)
On the other hand I definitely disapprove, Azeris has been stockpiling goodies for years, buying everything they can reach. The result? Skirmishes 5 (or so) years ago with Armenians? This is not what I expect from country with such military budget and might they been building for last two decades. Go and finish the work, return lost territories, kick Armenians out of Azeri land, free the Karabakh land.
But nah, Russian are behind Armenians, blahblah, yadayada. :(
